Cedarwood

Cedarwood essential oil is a substance derived from the needles, leaves, bark, and berries of cedar trees. There are many varieties of cedar trees found around the world. When used as an aromatherapy treatment, cedarwood oil may have sedative qualities, making it beneficial for alleviating occasional insomnia. It may also have a soothing effect on mood, making it beneficial for anxiety, and reducing stress.

Topically, cedarwood may reduce the appearance of scars, treat minor wounds, alleviate arthritis pain, and soothe symptoms of eczema.Cedarwood oil can serve as an all-natural antiseptic. It is known to be used topically to help combat bacterial and fungal infections.

Clove

Clove oil is an essential oil that’s derived from clove trees. Clove oil is produced by distilling the dried flower buds that are collected from the clove tree. Other parts of the tree, such as the stem and leaves, may also be used. Clove oil, which ranges in color from colorless to light yellow and has a strong, spicy aroma, has been used for centuries in a variety of applications. The beautiful dry and spicy fragrance of Clove oil acts as a mental stimulant and seems to have the effect of clarifying thoughts. It has been suggested that Clove acts like an analgesic for the heart, giving us space to work through difficult emotions without being distracted or influenced by painful feelings such as guilt or shame.

Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus oil is an essential oil derived from the oval-shaped leaves of eucalyptus trees, originally native to Australia. Manufacturers extract oil from eucalyptus leaves by drying, crushing, and distilling them. Eucalyptus oil is available as an essential oil that is used as a medicine to treat a variety of common diseases and conditions including nasal congestion, asthma, and as a tick repellant. Research suggests that eucalyptus oil eases joint pain. Advocates of natural healing suggest using eucalyptus oil as an antimicrobial agent by adding it to each load of wash during allergy season. For many years, eucalyptus oil has been used to relieve coughing and help get the mucus out the chest. The Australian aborigines used eucalyptus leaves to treat wounds and prevent infection. Today the diluted oil may still be used on the skin to fight inflammation and promote healing. The eucalyptus aroma smells similar to mint but softer and sweeter.
